Scott Burns
Managing Principal and Portfolio Manager
Scott joined Woodmont Investment Counsel in September of 2001. Scott was named the firm’s Managing Principal in 2004. Prior to joining Woodmont, Scott was a portfolio manager of an equity-focused hedge fund he founded. Scott also worked on the "sell-side" for three years as an analyst at SunTrust Equitable Securities, conducting fundamental research on a variety of technology and business services companies. Scott is a graduate of Vanderbilt University.

James Conner, CFA
Principal and Portfolio Manager
James joined Woodmont Investment Counsel in January of 2004 as a portfolio manager. James began his career with NationsBanc Capital Markets in 1994 followed by three years with J.C. Bradford & Co. in Charleston, S.C. Prior to joining Woodmont, James was an institutional fixed-income portfolio manager with Alliance Capital Management, L.P. in New York City. James holds a B.A. in history from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. James is a CFA charter holder and a member of the CFA Institute. He also holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation and is a member of the CAIA Association. Previously, James was on the board of the CFA Society of Nashville and is currently involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee.

Stephen A. Frohsin
Principal, Portfolio Manager and Chief Compliance Officer
Stephen joined Woodmont Investment Counsel in July of 2004 as a principal and portfolio manager. Stephen also serves as the firm’s Chief Compliance Officer. Prior to joining Woodmont, Stephen was a financial advisor with UBS Financial Services (formerly J. C. Bradford & Co. and PaineWebber, Inc.) from 1997 to 2004. Stephen also worked as a consultant for Advisory Board Co. (ABCO). Stephen earned a BA in political science from Vanderbilt University. Stephen currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Nashville Kiwanis Club, the Priority One Youth Foundation and Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA).

Paul H. Kuhn, CIC
Principal and Portfolio Manager
Paul H. Kuhn, CIC, co-founded Woodmont Investment Counsel in 2000. Paul has 40 years experience in the investment management industry. Following service in the U.S. Navy, Paul began his career with Chicago-based Stein Roe & Farnham in 1971. He joined J.C. Bradford & Co./Davidson Partners Investment Counsel in 1989, serving as President of Bradford Investment Management from 1989 to 1995. Paul is a Phi Beta Kappa, magna cum laude graduate of Vanderbilt University who earned his MBA at Indiana University. Paul is past president of the CFA Society of Nashville and serves on the boards of the Belcourt Theater, Sexual Assault Center, and the Tennessee Foreign Language Institute Fund.

Will Edwards Settle
Principal and Manager of Teleion Fund I, LP
Will Ed joined Woodmont Investment Counsel in 2011 upon the merger of Woodmont and Teleion Capital, LLC, an investment management firm which he co-founded in 2002. At Teleion Capital, Will Ed was a Principal and Co-Manager of the Teleion Fund I, LP, which he continues to manage at Woodmont. Prior to forming Teleion Capital in February of 2002, Will Ed was a Research Analyst in the equity capital markets division of Raymond James & Associates (NYSE: RJF) and SunTrust Equitable Securities (formerly Equitable Securities and now SunTrust RH Securities), which he joined in May 1999. Will Ed received a Doctor of Jurisprudence and Masters of Business Administration from the University of Tennessee in May 1999 and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Vanderbilt University in 1994. Will Ed was admitted to the Bar in the state of Tennessee in 1999. Will Ed has been a member of the Board of KIPP Academy Nashville, a public charter school serving at-risk youth, since 2006 and has served as its Chair since 2008. Will Ed is also active in Vanderbilt University’s alumni affairs and was a member of the Vanderbilt University Board of Trustees from 1994 to 1998, serving as a Young Alumni Trustee.

J. Rogers Clayton
Principal and Manager of the Teleion Fund I, LP
Rogers joined Woodmont as a principal in January, 2012. Prior to joining Woodmont, Rogers was an analyst with Central Square Management, a long/short equity hedge fund based outside Chicago. In 2010, Rogers co-founded Grace Hill Capital and served as portfolio manager. The long/short equity fund employed a short-biased investment strategy. Prior to Grace Hill, from 2005 to 2009 Rogers was a principal with Ergates Capital Management of Jacksonville, FL. At Ergates, Rogers investment universe was broad with significant emphasis in Energy, Healthcare, Agriculture, Telecom, and Real Estate. Rogers began his career at Merrill Lynch in 1995 where he helped manage assets for pension plans, foundations, high net-worth individuals, and endowments before leaving to join Ergates. Rogers received his Certified Investment Manager Analyst designation from Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and his Bachelor of Arts in History from Harding University. Rogers has actively worked with numerous local and international charitable organizations including personally providing Spanish translation and support on multiple trips throughout Latin America.

Tina joined Woodmont Investment Counsel at its inception as a portfolio administrator. Prior to Woodmont, Tina was with Davidson Partners Investment Counsel, LLC/J.C. Bradford & Co. for three years. She spent nine years with Morgan Keegan & Co. as a sales assistant. Tina attended Austin Peay State University.
