ASSOCIATE ADVISOR

The general purpose of this role is to help Advisors serve Woodmont clients, with a heavy emphasis on the financial & tax planning aspects of the client relationship. Responsibilities include:

  • Assist Director of Planning in developing broad tax planning service offering for full client base
  • Support senior advisors in managing client relationships, to include ongoing communication, scheduling and preparing meeting materials, periodic check-ins, and follow up on post- meeting
    action items
  • Gather financial planning-related information from clients and assist with data input and/or review of customized financial plans, tax projections, and preparation of meeting books
  • Maintain and organize electronic files, including client notes and records in CRM
  • Work closely with ops team to facilitate seamless onboarding of new clients
  • Work collaboratively with third-party professionals including CPAs, attorneys, and insurance agents
  • Advise on ad-hoc research requests and planning analyses
  • Contribute to firm-wide efforts to improve overall client experience and firm efficiency

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Essential:

  • Tax compliance and/or planning experience with individuals, small businesses, trusts, nonprofits, and/or estates
  • 2-3+ years experience in the financial planning and/or public accounting industry
  • Bachelor’s Degree with demonstrated academic success
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications

Preferred:

  • Hold a CFP®, PFS, CPA or EA designation or willingness to work toward one or more
